latest Bollywood Genelia D'Souza, Bubbly Girl Genelia Heroine Photos, Pics, Wallpapers

The latest sensation in Bollywood Genelia D'Souza has denied reports of any relationship with Riteish Deshmukh. She had teamed up with the actor for her debut film in Hindi Tujhe Meri Kasam. Later there were many rumours about them. The recent one was that both had married secretly against the wishes of their parents.

But the cute girl has completely denied all their rumours and reports about her affair with the actor. She commented, "I'm very much single. Riteish is my friend. That's all. Actually I don't have time for romance in real life with anyone. It is all happening in reel life only. I've no idea where these rumours emerge from. Deshmukh is my close friend and we both are very busy in films.

Bubbly girl Genelia feel very lucky to establish herself in the industry in such a short period. She said, "Whatever roles I did so far, they elevate me to higher levels. Acting means not only romancing with hero and exposing in revealing costumes. Heroine should be able convince the audiances with her performance and not with skin shows. But, unless an actress gets right opportunities, she never can establish herself in the industry. It happens merely by luck. In that way, I am very lucky. My film 'Bommarillu' in Telugu and 'Janetu Ya Janena' in Hindi gave me a solid base in Tollywood and Bollywood. Now, my latest Telugu film 'Katha' is also well received by people.”

"Indeed, it is very difficult role in my film career. In fact, I strained a lot for doing 'Chitra's role in the film. But, when the people start appreciating me, I feel very happy for doing such a wonderful role. I am receiving number of phone calls from all over the state congratulating me for my best performance,"says Genelia

Genelia D'Souza only wants Riteish Deshmukh as Co-star

Genelia opts out of Revathy's multi-starrer as her 'good friend' Mr Deshmukh could not be in it Genelia D'Souza was to be part of Revathy's directorial project starring Jaya Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, Madhavan, Mithun Chakraborthy and Ayesha Takia.

However, things didn't work out as Genelia insisted that 'good friend' Riteish Deshmukh feature in the film as well.

Woh Nahi Toh Main Nahi: Genelia D' Souza, Piggyback Rider? Riteish Deshmukh
A source reveals, "Genelia loved the subject and was ready to do the film. However, she laid down a condition: take Riteish opposite her.

She said that she wasn't comfortable with anyone else as co-actor. This left the producers dumbfounded."

Won't back down

The producers tried to reason with Genelia by telling her that the role didn't suit Riteish. However, the actress refused to back down and lost the film in the bargain.

Producer Subhash Singh of Hari Om Sai Production confirms that Genelia was approached for the project. "Yes, we were considering her.

However, things didn't work out and now we have Ayesha in the film. In fact, Jiah Khan, too, was interested in the script. We go on the floors this month."

Impossible demand

A source adds, "It was impossible for the producers to accept Genelia's condition. Hence they went ahead with Ayesha."

Though B-Town buzz is that Riteish and Genelia have been close since they acted in Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003) together, both have never admitted openly to their relationship.

Genelia outsmarts Rani and Preity

Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta are getting old. Unlike smart cookie Aishwarya who’s still getting the best of films, these two have restricted themselves to different roles (of course because of a lack of offers).

It’s worse for ‘once upon a time queen of hearts’ Rani Mukherjee who made the major mistake of confining herself to the Yash Raj camp and has hardly any good role to talk about. Except of course about her dear Aditya Chopra's films.

She is losing endorsements to younger actresses left, right and centre and so is Preity. Their loss has turned out to be somebody else’s gain. After the success of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Genelia D’ Souza has found her feet back in Bollywood.

Genelia had moved to South when she failed to make a mark in Bollywood with her first film Tujhe Meri Kasam with rumoured boyfriend Riteish Deshmukh. Masti did nothing to her either. But now things have changed. Apart from big offers, movies with John Abraham and good filmmakers, she has become a hot favourite in the ad world as well.

The cute and petite Genelia has ad makers fighting it out for her. She is endorsing products that our ‘A-league’ Bollywood actresses once used to endorse. This includes Rani and Preity. Genelia is now the face of brands like Vatika hair oil and Fair and Lovely. After replacing Rani in the Fanta commercial, Genelia has now replaced Bollywood’s bubbly Zinta in the Cadbury Perk commercial.

Genie baby is clearly a young face and is great in-demand. Rani and Preity and the ilk have a lot to worry about.
