After doing bold roles in Khwaish and Murder, the actress was all set to play a seductress in Forbidden. According to sources, Mallika was quite excited about her role in the erotic thriller (which doesn’t surprise us). Unfortunately for Mallika, the film was shelved. The film was to be produced by Ratan Jain and directed by debutant Manish Gupta. The entire film was to be shot in a palatial villa in England. Interestingly, the script required Mallika to seduce her 20-something step son. “Mallika had some qualms when it came to who would play her step son. She did not want any well-known face for the role. At one time, Tusshar Kapoor was considered and the producers had a meeting with him. But, Mallika refused to work with Tusshar. Left with no choice, Ratan Jain and Manish Gupta finally signed Aditya Seal who had made his debut as Manisha Koirala’s juvenile admirer in Ek Chhoti Si Love Story,” said our source. All was going well and Manish Gupta was scheduled to go to UK to finalise the location when he suddenly learnt the film had been shelved. “Later, Manish learnt that Ratan Jain did not want him to direct Bobby Bedi’s film Stoneman Murders, which he was also supposed to make. Manish was told that he solely concentrate on Forbidden or opt out. Manish chose to direct Bedi’s film instead of Jain’s.” said our source. Manish Gupta confirmed that he was to direct Forbidden with Mallika Sherawat in the lead. When asked if Ratan Jain had given him an ultimatum, a tactful Manish said, “I was unable to direct Forbidden because I started work on Stoneman Murders at the same time.” When asked why Forbidden was shelved, Ratan Jain said, “Is it necessary for me to tell all this? I don’t want to talk about it.” While Ratan Jain and Manish Gupta continue their fight, Mallika we suppose is desperately looking for another sizzling role to put her flagging career back on track. |

His earlier film, Taare Zameen Par, was released on December 21, 2007, and Ghajini on December 25, last year. Now, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, producer of the Aamir-starrer 3 Idiots plans to release the film on Christmas day.
The film’s first schedule was shot in Ladakh and Shimla in September last year. Meanwhile, the second schedule of 33 days is currently being shot at IIM Bangalore. They will return in February to complete
the last schedule in Mumbai. The film will be nearly 80 per cent complete after the Bangalore schedule.

So here are the results of my first try at a shredded shirt. Nothing new, I do realized that, but after seeing it for the first time on Heidi Klum and having seen in on about a million beloved blogs, I decided it was about time I took a whack at it.
Not exactly thrilled...there ended up being far more holes than I would have ever thought or liked and I did manage to accidently rip the lettering right over my nipple...but whateva.
I have a kind of cooky idea for some shirts that I am also gonna try and execute...

The Indian Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee who’s got the world standing up and saying Jai Ho to his music in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire, is remixing the award-winning song for a single music video track by the Pussycat Dolls. The original was done by Indian rap-bhangra artiste Sukhwinder Singh. But Rahman, after hooking up with American music producer Jimmy Iovine — has worked with bands like U2, Dire Straits, Bruce Springsteen and Eminem, has done a remix version for the Pussycat Dolls. The Pussycat Dolls, made up of lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt and Carmit Bachcr, achieved worldwide success in 2005 with their album PCD and produced hits like Buttons and Stickwitu, the latter which earned the group a Grammy Award nomination. Last year, they released their second studio album Doll Domination, which included the hits When I Grow Up and I Hate This Part. Throughout their rise to fame, the group has been criticised for its overtly sexual image and explicit dance routines, but Rahman has apparently no issues working with them. According to a source, the website desihits got in touch with Rahman and Iovine for the remix version. The track is being produced by American singer and record maker Palow Da Don who has done albums with Will Smith, Fergie, Rich Boy, Usher, Nelly, G-Unit and Mario. The website’s CEO Anjula Acharia Bath, admitted that she had spent time with Rahman on the track which would “be a great dance anthem with an amazing beat and a collaboration of sounds of the East meeting the West”. She added, “I was humbled to watch Rahman and Iovine in the studio.” Rahman, after the double whammy delivered by the Golden Globes and Oscar nomination, has characteristically gone underground and could not be contacted for comment.

John Abraham hurt
John Abraham has hurt his leg badly. It was while shooting for David Dhawan’s film Hook Ya Crook that the accident
happened.
A unit member informed us that he had to slide down a 20-feet pole. But he couldn’t get it right. Unfortunately for John, he landed directly on his leg.
In spite of orders from the doctor to take some rest, our Johnny Bravo quickly treated himself to some first aid medication, and went pole sliding all over again. This time he got it right, and then rushed to the X-ray clinic. Talk about wanting to get it right by hook ya crook...

It’s prayer time for A R Rahman. After Slumdog Millionaire’s worldwide music acclaim, the music maestro has apparently become extra meticulous about rituals. Rahman said, “I have been particular about prayers for the last 15 years. With success and acknowledgement my faith and conviction in the strength of prayers has only increased ten folds.”
A source close to the musician revealed, “Even when Rahman has a tedious schedule, he makes it a point to offer Namaaz five times a day, especially so after the awards. Recently, he asked a producer to hold the release event of Delhi 6 music earlier so that he could attend the Friday Namaaz.”
Rahman confirmed this and said, “It’s true that I pray from 1 pm to 3 pm, so I requested the producers to wind up the event in the morning so that I get the afternoon free.”
Clarifying his stance on religion, he said, “Religious sounds rather vulgar these days, I am more of a spiritual person. And I believe in being consistent with my spirituality. As one grows in life, one realises the magnitude of spirituality. It is the most beautiful passion. It raises you above all the negativities. For me and my music, spirituality is the most important element and I don’t think I can create the kind of music I do, if I don’t practice spirituality.”

Movie Review: Chandni Chowk to China!
The movie Chandni Chowk to China is a story of a poor guy Sidhu who lives in the Chandni Chowk of New Delhi along with his Dada Mithun Chakraborty. His fate and Ranvir Shorey who played the role of the interpreter called Chopstick, brought him to a village of China to kill the villain Hojo, which was played by Gordon Liu. Sidhu who is in fact the Akshay Kumar thought that he was reached here to become the King, but there people actually thought that he is an incarnation of a great fighter.
Mean while he met with a twin and their father, the role of twins Meow Meow (Suzy) and Sakhi are being played by Deepika Padukone. One of the major problems which I faced during the movie is that the most of the dialogues are in Chinese which caused me to concentrate on the English writing, so might be this is one of the reasons behind the headache.
I will give two out of five stars to the movie. The star caste of the movie includes Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranvir Shorey, Gordon Liu, and Mithun Chakraborty. The movie was directed by Nikhil Advani. Click here to download the mp3 songs of the movie.
